HE Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed visits Sheikh Mansoor pavilion at ADIHEX

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, visited the His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival pavilion at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition as part of his tour of ADIHEX on Friday, September 28, 2018.

He evinced keen interest in the Festival pavilion and the unique design which showcases ten years’ of Festival activities with ten horses depicting each year.

The 16th edition of the five-day exhibition opened in the capital city of Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 and is being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, ADNEC.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed was taken around the Festival pavilion by Ms. Lara Sawaya, Executive Director of HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival, Chairperson of the International Federation of Horse Racing Academies (IFHRA) and Chairperson of Ladies & Apprentice Racing Committees in the International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing Authorities (IFAHR)

His Highness was accompanied be several Sheikhs, dignitaries and senior officials.

The HH Sheikh Mansoor Festival is celebrating its tenth year which also coincides with Zayed’s 100th year. It has occupied a sprawling 3,600 square meters area.

The presence of the Festival at the exhibition is part of the of ‘One World, 6 Continents, Abu Dhabi The Capital’ annual programme with focus on Purebred Arabian horse racing.

Ms Lara Sawaya stated: “His Highness Sheikh Mohammed’s visit to our pavilion shows the keen interest shown by the UAE leaders in promoting the Purebred Arabian horse racing throughout the world. The UAE leaders’ support in general and the foresight of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, in particular, has boosted the Festival activities.”

ADIHEX is organized under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers Club and supported by The Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD), International Fund for Houbara Conservation (IFHC), The Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) and The Cultural Programs and Heritage Festivals Committee. ADIHEX is a government initiative that aims primarily to promote Sustainable Hunting, Environmental and Cultural heritage.

On the penultimate day raffle, one of the main attractions of the His Highness Festival pavilion, was a huge hit with prizes ranging from high-end futuristic cameras, watches, jewellery and cash vouchers. Curtains will be down on the Festival on September 29, 2018.
